Chapter 491
Chapter 491:
“I am going to retrieve the weapon that will save your company,” Eliza fired back, refusing to yield. “And Cathey needs a female ally right now. Damon doesn’t trust her, and she is terrified. I can bridge that gap p>
Jeannine nodded slowly, looking at Eliza with newfound respect. “She’s right, Dallas. Eliza is the perfect diplomat for this. You are stuck in a hospital bed — if you go, you look weak. If she goes, it looks like a royal visit p>
Dallas glared at his mother, feeling entirely betrayed. He let out a frustrated breath and looked back at Eliza.
“Fine,” Dallas gritted through his teeth. “But I have one condition. You take Azalea with you. If Damon so much as looks at you the wrong way, I want Azalea to physically bite him p>
Eliza couldn’t help but laugh. “Deal p>
Meanwhile, across the city at the Koch ancestral estate, the grand drawing room looked like a war zone.
Dosha sat in her wheelchair, her chest heaving, as she hurled a priceless Ming vase across the room. It shattered against the marble fireplace.
Ferd cowered in the corner, his hands held over his head.

“That ungrateful, backstabbing little bitch!” Dosha shrieked, her voice echoing through the massive house. “My own daughter! She betrayed me to the Lunas p>
Dosha spun her wheelchair toward her head of security. “You have to find her before she gives Damon the ledgers p>
“Madam,” the guard said nervously, “she is already inside Luna Manor. It’s a fortress. We cannot breach Damon Luna’s private property without starting a gang war p>
Dosha’s face twisted into a mask of pure, demonic malice. She tapped her fingernails against her chin, a sick smile spreading across her lips.
“Then we force her to come out,” Dosha hissed. “Go find that starving artist — Cathey’s pathetic little ex-boyfriend. William p>
Ferd looked up, his eyes wide with horror. “Dosha, what are you doing? You can’t involve innocent people p>
“Innocent?” Dosha laughed, a cold, dead sound. “If I go to prison, the Norton family dies. I will slaughter anyone who stands in my way to prevent that p>
The sprawling grounds of Luna Manor were manicured to absolute perfection.
Eliza’s Maybach pulled up to the grand entrance. The heavy oak doors opened before the car even came to a complete stop.
Damon Luna stood on the marble steps, dressed in a casual but impeccably tailored navy suit. He walked down to personally open Eliza’s door.
“Welcome to my home, Eliza,” Damon said, offering his hand.
Eliza ignored it and stepped out of the car on her own.
Azalea slid out right behind her, eyes narrowed into suspicious slits, her right hand buried deep in her designer purse and tightly gripping a canister of military-grade pepper spray.
Damon noticed Azalea’s hostility and merely chuckled. “You look more beautiful than ever, Eliza p>
“Congratulations, Damon,” Eliza said, offering a polite, diplomatic smile. “I hear you are about to become a relative of the Koch family p>
Damon threw his head back and laughed. “I do like the sound of that.” He gestured for them to follow him to the glass conservatory in the garden.
