Since that day, Alice had never seen Michael again.
She didn’t feel much about it and continued meeting with different companies’ HRS, as she needed to find a new job’immediately.
After what happened with Floyd, she realized she couldn’t stay in the local area anymore.
She was born and raised in Suncrest City, and even attended college here. She had never really left this city.
But that didn’t stop her from wanting to explore other places.
When she was with Michael, she thought she might spend her whole life at the Johnson Group, but life was unpredictable.
So now, she prioritized a few companies outside of Suncrest City. After all, there were too many companies in Suncrest City that had good relations with the Johnson Group, and she was afraid Michael might cause trouble.
On payday, she suddenly noticed that her salary was over $200,000 more than usual.
Looking at the notification, she thought the finance department must have made a mistake. This was a major error, so she called
them immediately.
The finance department double-checked it. “No mistake. The renewal bonus application was in your name and personally approved
by Mr. Johnson p>
Alice was slightly surprised. Wasn’t the bonus supposed to go to Aurora?
She hung up and contacted Winter, who seemed a bit gloating. “Mr. Johnson asked me to change it. Aurora drove away the partners, and he had to personally sign the contract. Alice understood that Michael was trying to save his face by giving her the bonus.

The Ryan Group was indeed large, and many women wanted to marry Floyd, but she wasn’t one of them.
Maybe marrying Floyd would be a shortcut to success, but dealing with Michael’s mistresses over the years had been exhausting
enough. She didn’t want to do the same thing in the future.
Floyd had pestered her a few more times, but she never gave him a good face again.
Floyd, who had been spoiled all his life, eventually thought she was ungrateful and stopped contacting her. Even when they occasionally saw each other, he pretended not to know her.
But this made Alice feel much more at ease. Without Floyd bothering her, she had even less interaction with Michael.
She shortlisted two companies, and it happened that one company’s HR was on a business trip to Suncrest City, so they arranged to
meet the next day.
Alice happily called Mira out to celebrate with a meal.
At the restaurant, they found that the table next to them was occupied by colleagues from the Jhonson Group. As soon as they saw
her, they surrounded her.

“Aurora finally left. Because of her, our workload doubled p>
“But Mr. Johnson hired a new secretary. Alice, why don’t you come back and persuade him p>
Alice listened in confusion and finally understood that Aurora had been sent away by Vaughn. While Michael was busy with a project, Vaughn had sent Aurora and her whole family away.

Alice suddenly felt a bit lost. Mira was right.

charges, she would never get out of prison.
She then subconsciously touched her collarbone. The necklace had long been returned to him, and the phone charm was thrown
away the day he mentioned it.
