Chapter 354
Chapter 354:
I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, staring at him. “I can see that. What I want to know is who brought it. Was it you p>
Craig burst out laughing. “No way. That bear came with a bouquet from T.M. early this morning p>
I let out a low whistle. “Wow. That is excessive. Flowers and a giant teddy bear? Someone is really trying p>
Rolling his eyes, he headed toward my desk.
“You know what’s missing to make this completely over the top p>
“And what would that be?” I asked, genuinely curious.
A grin spread across his face.
“Chocolate, obviously! The guy already gave you flowers and a teddy bear. Now he just needs an elegant box of chocolates and the set will be complete p>

I gave a dry laugh and shook my head, but soon a real laugh slipped out.
“But honestly, what’s the point of all these gifts if he never shows up? It seems like a waste, doesn’t it? You don’t even know what he looks like. Maybe he’s a troll, or maybe he’s as handsome as your so-called husband p>
He added extra drama to the last two words, and I rolled my eyes.
Still, he was right. Whoever this person was, he had managed to stay a mystery even while sending me flowers every day—and now a teddy bear. I couldn’t help wondering who he really was.
“If he starts leaving stuffed animals every morning, we’ll have to change the sign out front. Forget running a dance studio—we’ll be running a full-on Valentine’s gift shop p>
“Someone must be on their way to pick you up, girl p>
As he slid a CD into the player, Craig muttered something I didn’t quite catch.
“Girl p>
Huh? I lifted my head. “Are you talking to me p>
“No, I’m having a conversation with your soul,” he said, narrowing his eyes as if he were trying to read my mind.
His sarcasm made me laugh.
“I’m telling you someone’s coming to get you after work,” he added, tilting his lips toward the entrance.
“I don’t understand what you mean by someone’s coming to—” I didn’t finish, because Daniel walked into the studio and I froze.
“You’d better close your mouth, girl. You’re starting to drool,” Craig nudged me.
I elbowed him back to shut him up.
That was when Daniel noticed me, and our eyes met.
In that instant, everything around me seemed to fade. His smile rooted me in place, and his warm hazel eyes stole every coherent thought. My heart tried to leap out of my chest as he approached, and I had no idea how I was supposed to react.
Oh God. Please—what was happening to me?
“What are you talking about?” he asked when he reached my side.
“Huh?” His question snapped me back to reality when I realized I’d spoken out loud. “Uh… I mean, my feet feel weird today p>
“Did something happen to your feet?” he asked, glancing down at my shoes.
That strange numbness was still there.
“Let me check p>
“Hey, it’s really not necessary.” Before he could reach me, I stopped him, grabbing his arm quickly. “They’re fine, I promise p>
