Chapter 248
Chapter 248:
“We’ve all seen this already! That clip clearly shows Noelle pushing her mother. She confessed to it just minutes ago. Why are you trying to spin the story now? And demanding an apology? That’s cruel! Jessalyn is still grieving p>
Dorothy remained poised, ignoring the outcry completely. “Everyone here has based their judgments on this ten-second fragment. But what if I told you there’s more? We have the full footage. I invite you to watch it now p>
Elsewhere, Maxton sat back, scoffing at the screen. A full version? Impossible. He had erased the original. There was no conceivable way Noelle could’ve gotten her hands on it.
A hush fell over the group of reporters, Dorothy’s words hanging in the air. Could there really be another version of the video? Maxton’s upload was supposed to show everything—or so they thought.
On stage, Dorothy moved quickly. She plugged the USB drive from Noelle into the laptop and tapped the screen to play the file.
Soon, the Moss family’s living room appeared in full view for everyone to see.
Malcolm stood stiffly, his face red with anger. He glared at Noelle by the couch and shouted, “Noelle! Are you really trying to drive me mad? Why can’t you act like a decent person p>
Jessalyn strode across the room, her voice icy as she remarked, “Go on and apologize to your father now. Don’t just stand there p>
Below the stage, the reporters fidgeted, growing more and more restless.
What did Dorothy want to prove by showing this? If anything, it seemed to make Noelle look even more at fault. Why would Malcolm and Jessalyn be so upset if she hadn’t done something wrong?
Then, the next part of the footage sent a ripple of shock through the crowd. Suddenly, faces that had been skeptical turned to stunned disbelief.

Malcolm’s anger erupted again on the screen as he yelled, “So what if Willa destroyed your doll? So what if she used scissors and hurt your leg? Why must you always hold a grudge? Willa’s in tears because of you p>
Instead of speaking up about her own pain, Noelle kept her eyes downcast. “That doll was precious to me. Babette gave it to me when she took me in, and it reminded me every day that someone cared. After she was gone, I kept it close p>
Malcolm’s temper boiled over, cutting her off. “Enough with the drama! Willa is crying, and it’s your fault. You need to say sorry to her. Do it p>
Noelle closed her mouth, not uttering another word.
Growing fed up, Jessalyn shoved her hard and snapped, “Are you going to just stand there? Go and apologize to Willa! How did I end up with such a shameful daughter p>
The rough push knocked Noelle off balance, forcing her to take several shaky steps back. For a moment, it looked like she might collapse right there on the floor.
Even after everything, she stood her ground and would not apologize to Willa.
Without warning, Malcolm’s rage took over. He snatched the ashtray from the table and hurled it straight at Noelle, not even pausing to consider what he was doing.
