Chapter 274
Getting Moss Corporation’s fashion house into the Fashion Innovators Alliance had been nothing short of a miracle. The organization was the most prestigious institution in the fashion world. That coveted recognition had single-handedly elevated their fashion brand, transforming it into a respected high-end label. But why would they suddenly delist it today?
The caller’s voice trembled as he continued. “Right after Fashion Innovators Alliance dropped us, Fashion Week organizers sent their own official notice. They’ve banned us from next month’s event entirely.”
In other words, Moss Corporation’s clothing brand was facing a complete industry blacklisting. Fashion weeks, design competitions, industry galas—every door in the fashion world had just slammed shut in their faces.
Under these crushing circumstances, how could the brand possibly survive? Would they be forced to watch helplessly as it withered away?

Maxton’s fist slammed against the desk. “Damn it! How did everything go to hell so quickly?”
His phone rang again. “Mr. Moss, terrible news!” That dreaded phrase was the absolute last thing Maxton needed to hear. His expression turned murderous. “What’s happened now?”
Panic flooded the caller’s voice. “Our entertainment company’s biggest stars just landed in major trouble. You have to get here immediately!”
Thirty minutes later, Maxton stood in the backstage lounge of a music competition. His cold gaze swept over the five young men seated across from him.
Here was the boy band that represented his last hope. Though they were only minor celebrities, these five had become the company’s most popular artists by default.
Maxton’s expression hardened. “We already had an agreement. As the show’s largest investor, I’ve arranged for your first-place victory. Once you’re…”
“Crowned champions, your fame will explode overnight, and endorsement deals will pour in.”
This strategy would generate the desperately needed revenue the company required. Moss Corporation was bleeding money and needed cash flow immediately.
The group’s oldest member shifted uncomfortably before speaking in a hesitant voice. “But there are contestants in this competition with far more talent than us. If we’re declared winners, the audience will tear us apart with criticism.”
They refused to accept a hollow victory.
Maxton couldn’t care less about public backlash; profit was his only concern. “So what if they criticize you? Victory is all that matters. Besides, your contracts expire soon. Win first place, and the company will renew them immediately.”
Just then, the door burst open. The show’s director entered with a bright smile. “Sorry to interrupt, Mr. Moss. Allow me to introduce someone special—our show’s newest investor, who has now become our largest stakeholder.”
The director stepped aside with a flourish.
Maxton’s frown deepened as he turned to look.
Noelle walked in wearing a sharp, tailored suit and heels, with Farrell following closely behind her.
The instant Maxton’s eyes landed on Noelle, they blazed with pure hatred and contempt.
She was the reason he’d been put behind bars.
She was the reason the Moss family now teetered on the edge of ruin.
What troubled Maxton most, however, was this new investor situation. So Farrell was behind it?
The director’s next words hit him like a thunderbolt. “This is Ms. Noelle Moss. She’s now our show’s largest investor.”
Maxton’s body went rigid, his eyes widening in shock.
How was this even possible?
“Noelle, you—”
