Chapter 262
Letting out a sigh, Farrell seemed softer than usual, with none of his usual teasing. “Noelle, you really brought light into his world back then. You were like sunshine to him.”
Laughing shyly, Noelle waved her hands. “I wasn’t the only one! Jeffery and Babette helped him too.”
Farrell stared at her, momentarily at a loss for words. How could she be so clueless? He’d poured all his effort into crafting a touching line, and she went ahead and shot it down without hesitation.
Lost in her own thoughts, Noelle began remembering the little things she’d done for Ethan as a kid, like the handmade birthday gifts she used to give him. Maybe she could make something for him again this year. But what? A flower crown sounded too childish now. Maybe she could try designing something he could wear? But with his birthday coming up so soon, could she even finish it in time?

Noelle bit her lip, weighing the hours she had left. If she pushed herself for the next couple of nights, maybe she could pull it off.
That afternoon, Noelle sat down and started sketching her ideas.
Once the design took shape in the evening, she headed out to gather all the materials she’d need, determined to craft it herself.
Two nights passed with barely any sleep, and the fatigue began to show—dark circles marked her eyes. She slapped on a sheet mask in hopes of reviving her skin, still working late into the night without pause.
Right in the middle of her project, Dorothy dragged her along to a music awards ceremony.
The night was full of surprises: Jaxton took home the Best Male Singer award. Noelle, known to the world as NoMo, was awarded the Best Music Arrangement and Best Composer prizes.
Brock showed up in the crowd, despite his career being in shambles. The organizers had invited him out of respect for his former stardom. Most people assumed that, given his current controversies, Brock would decline the invitation. To everyone’s shock, Brock not only accepted but arrived early, bringing Gerard with him.
All around them, celebrities exchanged awkward looks, unable to forget the public apologies Brock and Gerard had posted about how they had treated Noelle in the past. But neither Brock nor Gerard cared about the cold shoulders or whispered gossip. As long as Noelle was there, nothing else mattered.
When she went on stage to accept her prizes, the two cheered and clapped for her so enthusiastically that their hands actually began to ache. Gerard couldn’t stop grinning. Noelle looked incredible, and her talent was undeniable.
Brock’s heart soared. She was the true star of the night, and her win made the ceremony feel truly meaningful.
As soon as the awards wrapped up, Noelle hurried out and raced back to Scenery Estate, eager to finish Ethan’s present. Gerard and Brock dashed after her, hoping to catch up, but she was long gone before they even made it to the exit.
A silent glance passed between the brothers, both instantly recognizing the disappointment in the other’s expression. When would their chance to talk to Noelle finally come?
