Chapter 215
Chapter 215:
“Valeria, what is it you wanted to see me for?” Gracie asked.
“Come here, dear.” Valeria gestured for her to sit. “Cathie sent me something nourishing. You’ve been busy with work lately, and your complexion isn’t looking well, so I had the chef prepare the soup especially for you p>
She looked at Brayden. “You’ll have a bowl too, in a moment p>
“Me too?” Brayden frowned slightly. “Forget it. I’ll pass. You and Gracie can drink p>
“Don’t turn me down.” Valeria frowned, signaling the maid to bring up two bowls of soup.
The air was tinged with a delicate sweetness as Gracie politely took the bowl. “Thank you p>
“Take it slow, it’s a bit hot,” Valeria said, her mood light and playful.
Gracie lowered her gaze and drank in silence.
Brayden, unable to defy Valeria, had no choice but to finish his bowl as well.

“If you’re tired, go upstairs and rest for a while. I have something to discuss with you later,” Valeria said with a smile. “I’m heading out for a bit p>
“Is it something you can’t say now?” Brayden asked, a flicker of confusion in his eyes. “Mom… you’re acting strange today p>
“How so? Don’t let suspicion cloud your mind.” Valeria’s face turned stern. “You two, go upstairs and wait for me. I’ll deliver the rest of the soup to Theo p>
She ignored their protests, hoisted the thermal container, and strode out of the house.
Gracie and Brayden exchanged a glance, neither showing any intention of going upstairs.

Gracie rose, a trace of puzzlement in her eyes, and took the lead up the stairs.
Ever since Aiden moved into the estate, Erik had been living with him in a house. Could it be that Valeria was worried Erik might return unexpectedly?
Gracie and Brayden entered the guest room. Gracie felt a sudden, suffocating heat crawling over her body. She reached up, tugging at her collar. “Why is it so unbearably hot in here p>
“Hot?” Brayden asked in a warm tone as he turned on the air conditioner.
But in the next moment, a heated embrace wrapped around him from behind.
He shivered, his brows knitting together as waves of heat surged through him, rising in relentless bursts. He twisted his stiff neck and turned to face Gracie.
At that moment, her arms were clutched firmly around his waist.
“Gracie… do you realize what you’re doing p>
