Everyone knew that walking the runway in a dress designed by Sloane would have been a huge boost for her career. But that chance was lost, all thanks to Jenessa.
Overhearing this, Jenessa was taken aback.
She had never thought Maisie would hold her responsible just because Sloane had refused to design for her.
Jenessa couldn’t help but laugh at the irony. Little did Maisie know, Jenessa was actually Sloane.

The warning made Maisie shudder with fear.
She suddenly remembered that Richard and several prominent designers had publicly supported Sloane. These were not people she could afford to cross.

Maisie watched her go, her gaze filled with malice.
After everything that happened last night, Jenessa was understandably exhausted. But she still had work to do, so she wasted no time and took a taxi to SparkWave’s office building.
Mina, the chief designer at SparkWave, saw an opportunity to bad-mouth Jenessa when she noticed the latter was late for work.

She observed Jenessa’s expression, eager to see defeat in her eyes.
Not wanting to waste her precious energy on Mina, Jenessa ignored her taunts and walked straight to her office.
Mina stood there, speechless, watching as Jenessa entered her office without so much as glancing at her. Realizing she had been completely ignored, Mina’s fury flared. She glared at the door to Jenessa’s office, her fists clenched so tightly that her manicured nails dug into her palms.
The other designers, eager to flatter Mina, quickly gathered around her.
“Mina, Sloane barely has a portfolio. She’s gotten famous thanks to her connections. I’m sure she doesn’t stand a chance against an experienced designer like you. Maybe she knows she’s going to lose, which is why she’s upset and unwilling to talk to you p>
