Ryan carefully placed Jenessa into his car before taking his own seat.
“Let’s get going,” he instructed the driver crisply.
Jenessa felt a pang of unease. She hadn’t had a chance to bid farewell to Richard. Frowning, she glanced out the window, hoping to catch sight of him, but Richard was nowhere to be seen.
