Chapter 325
Chapter 325:
Dismissing the thought with a slight shake of her head, she concluded that Ryan’s life was no longer her concern.
Meanwhile, Ryan had been helped into his hotel room by Rohan.
“Bring me a glass of water,” Ryan murmured weakly, his head spinning as he collapsed onto the bed.
Rohan quickly brought him some hot water, which Ryan sipped but nearly choked on.
“The water’s too hot,” Ryan complained, placing the glass on the bedside table with dissatisfaction.
“You’ve been with me long enough. Shouldn’t you know my preferences by now p>
Rohan replied with an embarrassed tone, “Mr. Haynes, it’s unusual for you to drink to such an extent. Previously, Ms. Wright would have been here to care for you in these moments p>
He stopped abruptly, realizing the delicacy of mentioning Jenessa.
With their divorce still a fresh wound, Ryan and Jenessa’s shared past was a tender topic.
Silence enveloped the room as Ryan reflected on the myriad ways Jenessa had taken care of him.
She had managed everything down to the perfect temperature of his water and the climate control in their room.
In that moment, Ryan recognized the silent, foundational support Jenessa had provided, which he had taken for granted during their time together.
The room remained quiet, save for the uncomfortable heat enveloping Ryan and the pounding in his head, prompting him to groan in discomfort.

Seeing him in such a state, Rohan grew increasingly worried.
He was at a loss on how to handle Ryan’s inebriated state.
He soon realized that Jenessa was staying in the room next door.
“I’ll get Ms. Wright,” Rohan declared, then hurriedly left the room.
Ryan stared at the ceiling, his mind swirling with thoughts.
Deep down, he harbored a faint hope.
Would Jenessa come?
Moments later, Jenessa was startled by a knock at her door.
Opening it, she saw Rohan standing there.
“What are you doing here?” Jenessa frowned, her hand on the door, ready to close it.
Rohan quickly placed his hand against the door to keep it open, his voice tinged with urgency.
“Ms. Wright, Mr. Haynes is very drunk and not doing well. I came to ask how you used to manage when he was like this p>
“What does Ryan’s drunkenness have to do with me now?” Jenessa responded, her tone icy.
Rohan was taken aback by her response.
“But if he doesn’t sober up soon, he’ll have a terrible headache tomorrow. It could interfere with his work p>
Jenessa inhaled deeply, her expression composed.
“Rohan, I’ve resigned, and I’m certainly not Ryan’s caretaker. I need to rest. Please go back p>
