Jenessa, who had just entered the backstage area, happened to overhear these discussions. She pursed her lips and walked past the gossipmongers with her chin held high.
She hated to admit it, but their words shook her otherwise calm heart.
Jenessa paused and took a deep breath. She reminded herself why she was here and how important this event was. She must not be distracted, especially by something so trivial.
With her composure restored, she did a final check on the SparkWave models and moved on to supervise any last-minute arrangements.
One after another, different brands showcased their lines, until at last, it was SparkWave’s turn on the runway.
Jenessa was adjusting the first model’s hair when Evie burst into the backstage, looking frantic.

She followed Evie backstage and, sure enough, discovered that the supermodel SparkWave had specifically hired was missing from the lineup.

The staff member, however, responded helplessly, “With the crowd of people backstage, how are we expected to track down your model? Shouldn’t you have kept an eye on your own models p>
A shadow fell over Jenessa’s face. Her focus had been on protecting the garments, especially after previous incidents of sabotage.
Yet, she had not foreseen the possibility of a model vanishing at such a critical time.
This posed a major crisis.

Willie, having caught wind of the turmoil, hurried over, his face ashen with worry.
