Chapter 366
Chapter 366:
Jenessa called Vinson, her voice icy.
“Vinson, what does that statement mean p>
With the editor-in-chief, Richard, away from the office, Vinson held the most power now.
The statement was certainly directed by him.
Vinson replied with impatience, “You know exactly what it means. Because of your mistake, the photo was leaked, and we couldn’t publish your design. This is the board of directors’ decision at headquarters. But we’ll honor the contract and pay you for your previous efforts p>
“Do I look like I only care about money? That statement is so dismissive. You guys don’t deserve my design,” Jenessa retorted sharply.
Vinson seemed unaffected.
“Do you think you’re the only designer out there? There are plenty of others eager to work with us. As long as we pay well, it’s no issue p>
His nonchalant attitude only fueled Jenessa’s irritation.
“I deserve an explanation regardless. If not, who would dare to collaborate with you in the future?” Jenessa demanded, her voice tense with anger.
Suddenly, Vinson burst into laughter over the phone, causing Jenessa to scowl in revulsion.
His laughter faded, and he asked, “How is that our problem? We didn’t blame you directly, and you should be thankful for that p>
“Do you have any proof that I caused the leak?” Jenessa snapped back.

With a tone brimming with confidence, Vinson retorted, “And what proof do you have that it was our fault? Without a suspect, nobody knows p>
With those final words and a smug smile, he ended the call, convinced that Jenessa had no other option but to end their collaboration.
Just then, the office door swung open.
Luna entered.
With a grin, Vinson greeted her.
“Is your shoot finished p>
After the cover photo leaked, he quickly brought in other designers to create new pieces, naturally replacing the model with Luna.
“Of course. Thanks to you, I almost thought Sloane and Monica were about to win,” Luna said cheerfully, settling onto Vinson’s lap.
Her lips then pursed in a mock pout.
Vinson snorted dismissively.
“She thinks she can compete with me? Richard will definitely face consequences for the leak, and the other brands will start questioning Sloane and her team. They had it coming p>
Luna’s smile broadened in satisfaction, but her worry resurfaced moments later.
“But you were the one who leaked the samples. Is that really going to be okay? Won’t they find out p>
Vinson was completely unfazed. He said with confidence, “Don’t worry. If the higher-ups decide to dig into this, it’s Richard, the chief editor, who should be worried. Had he not pushed for a collaboration with Sloane and backed her choice of Monica, would we be in this situation? Besides, I’ve been at this magazine long enough to have my own standing. Who’s to say it was me who did it? And even if they find out, I doubt they’d dare to spill the beans p>
He smiled, giving Luna’s shoulder a reassuring pat.
“Just wait for your feature in this month’s magazine issue p>
