Chapter 69
Chapter 69:
Gina scoffed and said, “Such an expensive dress surely isn’t meant for Jenessa! Sir, please double-check you’re not making a delivery mistake on behalf of Mr. Haynes p>
Her words found quick agreement.
“Yes, indeed, this must be a mistake p>
“Surely such a lavish dress is intended for Miss Powell, right p>
The manager, however, asserted confidently, “This gown is specifically for Ms. Jenessa Wright. Mr. Haynes chose it himself and instructed us to ensure it reached her to prevent any embarrassment on his behalf. Now, where is Ms. Wright p>
Jenessa stepped forward and declared, “I am p>
With a respectful nod, the manager handed her the gown.
“Ms. Wright, perhaps you’d like to try it on to ensure the perfect fit p>
Jenessa eyed the dress briefly and instantly knew it was the right size.
She was pleasantly surprised, realizing Ryan had chosen the dress himself. It amazed her that he remembered her measurements so accurately.
“Ms. Wright p>
The manager’s voice snapped Jenessa back to the present. She responded softly, “No need, I’ll sign for it directly p>
The manager seemed surprised.
“Are you certain you don’t want to try it on and see if any adjustments are needed p>
“Actually, it’s just right,” Jenessa reassured him.

Gina shot Jenessa a disdainful look and remarked sarcastically, “Jenessa, how can you be sure it fits without trying it on? This dress seems rather small. Are you sure you can put it on? It would be quite the scene if you couldn’t fit into it later p>
“Thank you for your concern,” Jenessa replied calmly.
“I’ve been to several events with Mr. Haynes and I understand how these dresses fit p>
Additionally, with her expertise in fashion, a single glance was enough to tell if the dress would fit her.
Gina was left speechless, boiling with frustration.
Jenessa’s response had subtly flaunted her close relationship with Ryan.
What an arrogant woman! Gina watched with envy and resentment as Jenessa walked away with the dress.
As evening approached,
“Mr. Haynes, there’s an urgent meeting in three minutes that we can’t put off. It might overlap with tonight’s party,” Rohan informed Ryan in a rush.
Ryan promptly stood up.
“Let’s head to the meeting room now p>
As he passed Jenessa, he murmured, “Get ready. We’ll go straight to the event once the meeting is over p>
“Understood,” Jenessa responded. When she looked up, Ryan had already moved away swiftly.
Jenessa was about to take the dress to the rest area to change when someone abruptly dropped a stack of documents in front of her.
“Jenessa, these need to go to Meeting Room 1 p>
