Chapter 588
Chapter 588:
Samuel angrily pointed at Jenessa and said, “I’ve raised you. I put so much effort into you, yet you repay me by refusing to acknowledge me as your father. You’re so ungrateful p>
Jenessa didn’t know how to respond to Samuel’s audacity. She took a deep breath and calmed herself.
After a few seconds of awkward silence, she finally said, “Today will be the last time I refer to you as my dad. Since you refuse to acknowledge me as your daughter, I see no reason for us to have any relationship. After all, I’m no longer married to Ryan, so I hold no value to you anymore p>
Samuel stared at Jenessa in disbelief. He had not expected her to be so determined to sever ties with him.
He abruptly stood up and roared, “Who gives you the courage to speak to me this way? Do you think I can’t control you anymore? You must be fucking dreaming p>
Jenessa, bored of arguing with Samuel, turned to leave. She didn’t bother asking Delores to come with her anymore.
“Stop her! Stop her! Don’t let her leave this house! If she does, the world will find out she’s pregnant with a bastard, and it will bring disgrace to both the Wright and Haynes families. It’ll ruin my business!” Samuel screamed.
The maids quickly restrained Jenessa, urging her not to struggle.
“Let go of me, or I’ll call the police,” Jenessa ordered.
Samuel glared menacingly at her.
“The police can’t help you. I’ll take you to a clinic to have that bastard in your womb aborted p>
Delores grew worried when she heard this.
“A clinic? Didn’t the doctor say to take her to a hospital for the procedure p>
“Don’t be stupid. If we take her to a hospital, everyone will know she’s pregnant. Do you want me to be disgraced?” Samuel retorted angrily.
Delores had no response to offer Samuel. Instead, she glanced uneasily at Jenessa.

“Although Ryan has dumped her, she’s not without her charms. She can still be married off to a rich businessman once we get rid of the baby,” Samuel said with a sneer.
Jenessa, who was still being restrained by the maids, was shocked by what she had just heard.
“I won’t let you abort my baby! And I won’t let you force me to marry someone else p>
She struggled against the grip of the maids, but to no avail.
Before long, she was tied up and taken to a hidden small clinic.
Jenessa lay pinned down on the cold, metal operating table, her heart pounding in her chest. Several people held her in place as she struggled against their grip.
“Let me go!” she screamed, her eyes darting around the dimly lit room. The place reeked of neglect, with unregulated equipment and unsanitary conditions that sent shivers down her spine.
“What is this place? What you’re doing is illegal p>
Outside the door, Samuel’s voice cut through the silence, merciless and cold.
“Get rid of the bastard in her womb! Once it’s done, I’ll make sure you’re handsomely rewarded p>
Inside, the doctor and nurses in white coats nodded, their faces expressionless as they bound Jenessa’s hands to the table.
“Don’t worry, it’ll be over quickly,” the doctor assured her, a sinister smile stretching across his face.
“The baby inside you is an illegitimate one. Once we’re done, everything will be fine p>
Her heart filled with terror. Her mind reeled at the thought of her own father plotting against her and her unborn child.
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she shook her head desperately. The baby she had fought so hard to protect was now at the brink of death.
“Let me go!” she pleaded, her voice breaking. All she wanted was to protect her baby, the life she had fought so hard to nurture.
“Please, let me go! This is my baby, not some illegitimate one. You can’t just kill my baby p>
Her cries went unanswered as the doctor and nurses continued preparing for the procedure.
A nurse approached with an anesthesia needle, the sharp glint catching the dim light. Jenessa felt the cool sting of antiseptic on the back of her hand, her panic rising as she realized what was about to happen.
