Chapter 650
Chapter 650:
Richard smiled at this.
“It’s okay. We’ll look at other rings and find the ones you like p>
The shop assistant enthusiastically brought out different diamond rings. She could tell that Richard’s preference was based on what Jenessa wanted.
Time passed, and yet Jenessa had yet to find a ring she liked.
Although all the diamond rings were beautiful, none of them appealed to her.
Suddenly, a diamond ring hidden behind the counter caught her eye. It was breathtaking.
“Can I have a look at that ring?” Jenessa asked.
The shop assistant looked in the direction Jenessa was pointing. Hurriedly, she said, “I’m sorry, Ms. Wright. The ring is customized by another guest. It’s not for sale p>
“Oh, I see. That’s alright,” Jenessa replied.
However, she couldn’t take her eyes off the ring. The gem embedded in it looked quite familiar.
The shop assistant, smiling, explained, “The guest personally drew the design of the ring himself. The gem inlaid on it is quite expensive. It was purchased at an auction. I heard the client wants the ring for his bride. That’s actually very sweet p>
Although the shop assistant didn’t give a name, Jenessa could guess that it was Ryan.
The gem had been sold at the auction not long ago.
She had wanted to buy it but had been outbid by Ryan. She remembered him saying that the gem would be used to design a gift for the most important person in his life.
Now, she knew he must have been talking about Maisie. Ryan and Maisie were going to get engaged soon. He must have had the ring made for her in advance. Did he really love Maisie that much? Jenessa smiled bitterly at the thought.
Richard walked over to her and asked, “Do you like it p>
When Richard looked at Jenessa, he saw that she suddenly looked gloomy. The look on his face became one of concern, and he asked, “What’s the matter? Are you not feeling well p>
Jenessa forced a smile and said, “I’m fine.” She had lost interest in choosing the rings.
“I think we should go with the first one the shop assistant recommended,” she said.
Smiling, the shop assistant replied, “You have exquisite taste, Ms. Wright. That’s the most expensive one in our store p>
Jenessa was surprised by this statement. She hadn’t intended for Richard to spend so much.
“We’d better change to another one then p>
“No. We’ll be taking that one,” Richard said, taking out his bank card.
“Alright, sir,” the shop assistant said, eagerly taking the bank card and processing the payment.
It seemed being the editor-in-chief of Fashion Days had its perks, allowing him to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a pair of rings. He must really care for Jenessa.
When the shop assistant handed the ring to Richard, he immediately slipped it onto Jenessa’s finger.
It fit her perfectly, as though it were custom-made for her.
“It looks really beautiful on you,” the shop assistant said. Richard glanced at her hand and added, “It really does look good on you. Or what do you think? Do you like it p>
Jenessa pursed her lips and said, “It’s beautiful, but it’s too expensive. We should have gotten another one p>
